Comms Chatter (07/07/15)

Greetings Commanders,

Welcome to the new home of Comms Chatter. Every week we'll pull together a selection of the best content created by the Elite Dangerous community. This week we've got reports from 24-hour gaming sessions, Lavecon 2015, beautiful fan-art posters, and a handy Powerplay 'Powers' chart.

Federation Propaganda

All things Powerplay

Want a quick reference guide for Powerplay? Sokonomi has you covered.

As pointed out by one of the first replies in the Reddit thread, some of the information needs correcting. But Sokonomi promises to keep updating the image and making changes in the thread. So keep your eyes on Reddit for future updates.

Rigor from OneVigor

In last week's newsletter we gave a shout-out to OneVigor, who was planning a 24-hour livestream to raise money for Cancer Research UK. We're happy to report that his stream was a huge success, with members of the Elite Dangerous streaming community joining him to smash through his targets. OneVigor raised an amazing £2,287.22 for the charity - you can watch the full stream here and you can donate at his Just Giving page.

Lavecon

The science fiction and fantasy festival, Lavecon, returns for another year, and just like last year we've got a panel of special guests to chat about Elite Dangerous. On the Saturday (11th) Art Director Chris Gregory, Executive Producer Michael Brookes and Lead Designer Sandro Sammarco will be sitting down to answer questions from those present in the room.

If you manage to get round to reading this before the end of the day (Tuesday 7th July) then we recommend you tune in to Lave Radio tonight at 8.30PM BST to hear two thirds of the Frontier Developments community team chat with the Lave guys about the event and about the amazing Elite Dangerous community in general.

Until next time

Thanks for reading everyone.
